Мой первый пост в блогах вообще. Пост акцентирован как статья о культовой мега-группе THE PRODIGY, личные воспоминания, приезд группы в Минск и немного истории. Так что особо не ругайте! Надеюсь всем будет интересно вспомнить как это было... Ну да ладно.

Знакомство с творчеством группы The Prodigy началось в далёком 1998 году, когда на каждом углу (не говоря уже про средние по масштабу университетские дискотеки) слышались звуки треков "Breathe" и "Smack my bitch up". К тому времени The Prodigy существовали как группа целых 8 лет, а я только вот втянулся. Помню, в это время были очень популярны треки от Chemical Brothers (отметились очень крутым альбомом "Dig you own hole" выпущенном так же в 1997 году), Orbital (все их помнят по крутым хитам Satan, Halcyon, синглу The Saint так же популярном в 91-97 гг. и саунтреку к фильму Mortal Combat) и другая качественная электронщина, но Prodigy считались эталоном, таким недосягаемым и кайфовым саундом. На улицах города постоянно встречались подростки в майках, банданах, с рюкзаками и браслетами с весьма приметными логотипами и надписями. Группа была на пике популярности (как тогда казалось) и ничего лучше альбома "The Fat of The Land" (выпуск - лето 1997 года) группа якобы не выдаст. Но не тут-то было...

Ближе к миллениуму жесткий стиль Prodigy сменили сладкие лёгкие мелодии типа Atb - 9 P.M. и множество новых исполнителей Dj-ев. О группе немного подзабыли, но истинные поклонники группы получали небольшие порции экспериментов от создателя саунда группы Лиама в виде сингла "Baby's Got A Temper" (2002) и альбома "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" (2004). Казалось всё - финал, кризис стиля и группы в целом. Участники коллектива занялись сольным творчеством. Кейт занялся рок-проектом "FLINT", выпустил два сингла и альбом "Device#1". Максим засветился выпуском кучей синглов и двумя альбомами "Fallen Angel" и "Hell's Kitchen". Лерой занялся Dj-ингом под псевдонимом Longman и учавствовал в других музыкальных проектах. Даже Лиам Хоулетт занялся DJ-ингом и выпуском собственных сессий "The Dirtchamber Sessions Vol. 1" и "Back To Mine". Самые стойкие поклонники группы всё это время следили за творчеством участников Prodigy и верили в «чудо» - воссоединение коллектива... И вот оно наконец-то произошло! 23 февраля 2009 г. мир увидел новых, обновлённых временем и опытом THE PRODIGY в золотом составе: Кейт Флинт, Максим и Лиам Хоулетт (бывший танцор коллектива Лерой Торнхилл продолжил заниматься сольной карьерой DJ-я). Шестой по счету альбом, пятый студийный альбом группы The Prodigy - "Invaders Must Die" взорвал, словно бомба, музыкальное сообщество, а участники группы задействованы на треках этой пластинки, впервые после альбома "The Fat Of The Land" 1997 года. Невероятно, но факт, альбом превзошёл все ожидания поклонников и громко заявил о себе! Выход альбома предзнаменовался релизом первого сингла этого альбома "Omen". Также на сайте группы были выложены в свободное скачивание заглавный трек альбома "Invaders Must Die" и для просмотра - видео на композиции "Omen" и "IMD". Сингл "Omen" попал сразу на четвертое место в чарте BBC UK Singles Chart. Группа уже успела получить награду на ежегодной премии "Kerrang! Awards-2009" в августе этого года. Что же готовит счастливый для группы год, остаётся только гадать, но ясно одно - долгожданное возвращение группы произошло! Длинные концертные турне, новые видеоклипы, новые премии и награды, верхние строчки чартов и огромная популярность уже нового поколения - вот что мгновенно вернули себе участники коллектива. Тяжёлый многолетний труд, как говорят, окупился с двойной отдачей. Так вот группы становятся культовыми и записывают себя в историю жирной ручкой. Эххх, приятно жить в одно время с живыми легендами!
Но Prodigy не забыли и о Минске - 5 октября с презентацией альбома "IMD" и лучшими своими треками они взорвут стадион Динамо и всё это благодаря организатору фестиваля - рекламно-концертному агентству "Ультра Звук". Новая страница в истории open-air фестивалей и концертов в Беларуси будет открыта именно 5 октября на стадионе Динамо. Скрестим пальцы, ведь ждать осталось не долго. На этом и закончу.

Hottenstein's clothed body, appearing wet from being in the water, was found by a passerby on Sunday morning, Feb.15, at approximately 7:35 a.m. at the street end on 42nd Place at the Sea Isle City Marina. A thorough and comprehensive investigation began into the circumstances of   Hottenstein's death by members of the Cape May Prosecutor's Office and the Sea Isle City Police Department. Additional resources were requested from the Cape May County Sheriff's Department Canine Unit to conduct a search of the area, as well as the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit and Middle Township Police Department to complete a search of the water for articles of clothing worn by   Hottenstein.

The investigation to date includes dozens of interviews, sworn statements; review of numerous hours of video recordings from multiple sources, and the review of information obtained from court authorized warrants. The investigation determined  Hottenstein was last seen exiting the Ocean Drive Bar and Restaurant located at 3915 Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Feb. 15  and appears to have walked southbound on Landis Avenue. Hottenstein was wearing a black long sleeved top, dark blue jeans, tan Ugg boots, a pink plaid hat, and pink scarf. The hat and one of the boots was subsequently recovered from the water in the area of the marina. Still missing are Hottenstein's scarf and one of the boots. Hottenstein's cell phone, purse and vest were left in the Ocean Drive Bar and Restaurant and retrieved by detectives.

After consideration and review of all of the available facts, the cause of death was determined to be "Hypothermia due to exposure complicating acute alcohol intoxication" with the manner ruled as accidental.
